Roland® tweets back

Roland sets the record straight regarding their design motto... it sounds like they have some innovative gear to release soon.

Right, right, I know what some of you are thinking: "dude, @Roland_US only has 35,069 followers... it's not like @KanyeWest with 10,177,031 followers twitted you, get over it".  Well, yeah, but may I remind you that even Kanye named his album "808s and Heartbreak" after Roland's TR-808.

Roland created synthesizers and drum machines that helped define the sound of pop music as we know it today. Korg, one of Roland's close competitors, re-released a reduced-size version of one of their most sought-after classic analog synthesizers: the MS-20.  They claim to have faithfully reproduced the circuitry design and sound of the original, which is exactly what people lust over and why it sold out immediately upon release.

I made a cheeky remark on twitter suggesting that Roland should follow Korg's steps and bring back to life some of their cult-status vintage analog gear like the TR-909, but I think Roland's focus is on more progressive goals.

I wonder what Roland has up its sleeve...
